I bought some Rosemary Fig Goat Cheese from the Painted Goat a few weeks back at the Schenectady Greenmarket. Deeeee-licious! They’re located in Garratsville, Otsego County NY. You can visit their website at www.paintedgoat.com.
I was at the Greenmarket yesterday, but didn’t buy any goat cheese because I was out of money by the time I got to her booth!! 😦

Can’t agree with you more. I recently had Painted Goat’s aged “Cinderella” cheese at Telepan Restaurant in NYC. Fantastic! Couldn’t believe it was from Upstate NY and not a French import. I had to ask ask the chef where I could get it. Found out its sold at Murray’s Cheese in NY. I’ve become a Painted Goat regular, looking out for it. Found it again at a recent visit to The Modern, at the Museum of Modern Art.
