Just flipping through today’s food news, and found a half-negative review of Julie & Julia, the film about Julia Child and the chick who wrote the blog about cooking every recipe in Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking”. According to the review, Meryl Streep (as Julia Child) was divine, and Amy Adams (as Julie) was annoying.
I don’t really care about reviews – I don’t care about anyone’s opinion but my own anyway! 🙂
I’m still going to see the movie. I’ll let you know how I like it!
I’ve read several reviews, and all are pretty much along the same lines — that the Julia parts of the movie are great, and the Julie parts just aren’t. Having read both of the source books (“My Life in France” and “Julie & Julia”) I can absolutely see how that would be the case — I thought Julia’s book was much more interesting.
Which reminds me, Sarah, I still have your copy of “My Life in France”. I must return it to you!
