Things needed cleaning up around here.
I was getting tired of my logo – it feels cartoonish now. The whole look of this place was boring me. Frankly, I was boring me. So, I’m paring down, scaling back, simplifying. And I’m celebrating my new space with a new feature on Wendalicious – Food Foto Friday. Or Phood Photo Phriday. Or something like that. I may need help with the name. Anyway.
Send me your favorite food photos, and I’ll post them on the blog every Friday. Send them using the “Send me an Email” link over yon (to the right), and don’t forget to tell me your name and what the photo’s all about. Readers will get to vote on their favorite food photo, and winners will be announced on Monday. Heck, I may even be able to scare up a prize every now and again.
I think it’s going to be great to see what other people are cooking in their kitchens and finding in their favorite restaurants. I’m pretty proud of myself for thinking of it, actually. Go, me!
I will get things rolling with a few photos taken during a recent trip to Our Nation’s Capital with Sionna, to visit our BFF’s Sarah and Joanne. These were all taken at La Tasca, a cute tapas restaurant in Old Town Alexandria VA. Chosen by Joanne – great choice. We ordered the Meat Tapas Tasting Menu, and I think I got a shot of everything we ate. Photos after the jump.
Ah! There’s our lovely tapas meal! I knew what they were even before I read the post carefully. 😉
That was so yummy. Must go back! I’m having a sangria craving now. Do you know of any good places in the Cap District that serves decent sangria?
I just saw on FB that Wheatfield’s in CP has “Sangria Sundays”. We love Wheatfield’s, and I bet their Sangrias are good. We must investigate, no?
So I had a girl’s night out, and my friends decided to go to the tapas place across the street from this place, and it so totally wasn’t up to snuff. I so craved the spinach and pine nuts dish, and they didn’t have anything close. And now I want the garlic shrimp. Yum!
I had forgotten how much I enjoyed that spinach dish, until I posted the photo. I could almost taste it again.
