Dinner Tonight

Beautiful heirloom tomatoes with dinner. Enjoy them while you can, summer is nearly over. But then it’s cider donut time!

    It’s totally cider donut time. That said, I’m hoping for more tomatoes from Roxbury on Tuesday. I still haven’t made a BLT this season, which is really unforgivable.

    Yum! Try that with a little aged balsamic and garlic infused olive oil. You’ll thank me 🙂

      That’s what I did after I took the picture…well, regular extra-virgin olive oil. It was awesome.

    This was a really good year for our tomatoes too. We were getting really meaty ones, weighing over 2lbs each from the family’s gardens. Seeds were brought over from Sicily years ago and used to produce a great crop.

    I can’t count the number of tomato salads that we both ate ourselves and sold at the restaurant. It’s sad to see the end of the season quickly approaching.
