How often do you hear the phrase “Free Corn!”? Not much, I’m guessing. But your luck is about to change.
The Upper Union Street (Schenectady) Saturday Farmers’ Market is offering a free ear of freshly steamed corn on the cob to each person who comes to the market on Saturday, August 18. The offer is limited to one free ear of cooked corn per person.
No word on topping choices. You have to show up to find out if you get butter and/or salt.
The Upper Union Street Farmers’ Market operates on Saturday mornings from 9am –1pm. It is located in the Upper Union Street BID public parking lot off of Woodland Ave. between Union St. and Eastern Parkway in Schenectady.

A children’s consignment shop, two high end jewelry stores, an art studio and gallery, a vintage furniture shop, an amazing aquarium store, men’s shop, woman’s clothing, other boutiques,many salons and almost a score of restaurants are in the very walkable business neighborhood of Upper Union Street.
