Hey, Schenectady (and other nearby) folks! There’s a cool event happening next Wednesday, July 18, and you should join me!

From Scratch Club will be holding their next Schenectady Food Swap – and it’s a GREAT time! Basically, you bring a few homemade/handmade things, and swap for some other great homemade/handmade things made by other folks!

Last time, I went home with some awesome stuff: a pepper plant, some caponata, amazing vegan maple shortbread bars, whoopie pies, and some other stuff I’m pretty sure I ate in the car on the way home. And then there were the things I wanted, but didn’t get: coffee liqueur, blue cheese dressing, ginger lime syrup, brownie sundae kits, mango black bean salsa…

If you’ve never swapped before, and the thought of it is terrifying, FSC is offering a bunch of “swap curious” tickets, so you can go and have fun, and check out how the swapping works, before you commit to a full swap.

It’s actually a ton of fun – lots of sampling (yum!), folks are really nice and friendly, and the swapping itself – while hectic – is quite a rush. You’re almost not sure what just happened…

I hope you can join me. Here are the complete details:
