I received a recipe request today from my old friend Mal, for Deviled Eggs. Mal and I used to have awesome dinner parties for my friends at Townhouse 21 (Siena College), though I think we were probably too drunk to remember actually cooking. I do remember setting off the smoke alarm once (I think), and making pork chops that we named after our friend John Fonti (who, as it turns out, now owns a restaurant in Guilderland called Cafe-Teria. Maybe he wants our recipe…)
Anyway, I scanned my favorite recipe for Deviled Eggs, from my broken-down, food-stained copy of The Joy of Cooking (it’s the recipe for Stuffed Eggs, with the Deviled Egg variation underneath it). Enjoy it, Mal!
